Judul ceritanya adalah "A Miracle of Sally's One Dollar."
A Miracle of Sally's One Dollar
Sally was only eight years old when she heard Mommy and Daddy talking
about her little brother, Georgi. He was very sick and they had done
everything they could afford to save his life. Only a very expensive
surgery could help him now . . . and that was out of the financial
question. She heard Daddy say it with a whispered desperation, "Only a
miracle can save him now."
Sally went to her bedroom and pulled her piggy bank from its hiding
place in the closet. She shook all the change out on the floor and
counted it carefully. Three times. The total had to be exactly perfect.
No chance here for mistakes. Tying the coins up in a
cold-weather-kerchief, she slipped out of the apartment and made her way
to the corner drug store.
She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her attention . . but
he was too busy talking to another man to be bothered by an
eight-year-old. Sally twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. She
cleared her throat. No good. Finally she took a quarter from its hiding
place and banged it on the glass counter. That did it! "And what do you
want?" the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. "I'm talking to
my brother."
"Well, I want to talk to you about my brother," Sally answered back
in the same annoyed tone. "He's sick . . . and I want to buy a miracle."
"I beg your pardon," said the pharmacist.
"My Daddy says only a miracle can save him now . . . so how much does a miracle cost?"
"We don't sell miracles here, little girl. I can't help you."
"Listen, I have the money to pay for it. Just tell me how much it costs."
The well-dressed man stooped down and asked, "What kind of a miracle does you brother need?"
"I don't know," Sally answered. A tear started down her cheek. "I
just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my
folks can't pay for it . . . so I have my money."
"How much do you have?" asked the well-dressed man.
"A dollar and eleven cents," Sally answered proudly. "And it's all the money I have in the world."
"Well, what a coincidence," smiled the well-dressed man. "A dollar
and eleven cents . . . the exact price of a miracle to save a little
brother." He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he
grasped her mitten and said "Take me to where you live. I want to see
your brother and meet your parents."
That well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, renowned surgeon. .
specializing in solving Georgi's malady. The operation was completed
without charge and it wasn't long until Georgi was home again and doing
well.
Mommy and Daddy were happily talking about the chain of events that
had led them to this place. "That surgery," Mommy whispered. "It's like a
miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost?"
Sally smiled to herself. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost...
one dollar and eleven cents... plus the faith of a little child.
"Sometimes you gotta stop worrying, wondering, or doubting. Have faith that great things will work out."
Udah tau kan, kalo hari Senin kemarin itu pengumuman SBMPTN? Kalau belum tau, sekarang tau kan. Oke, abaikan saya.
Jadi ceritanya hari Senin kemarin saya masih on the way menuju rumah saat pengumuman SBMPTN. Selalu begitu.
Hahaha.
Yaudahlah ya, mau digimanain lagi. Nyampe rumah, saya langsung nyolokin modem terus konek ke website SBMPTN. Bleeeshhh... berharap tante gue salah masukin nomor atau tanggal lahir, ternyata... sami mawon podo wae hasilnya.
Saya bingung... Bapak/Ibu panitia SBMPTN nya minta maaf ke saya, lah salah mereka apa toh :|
Buat adik kelas ataupun satu angkatan saya yang mau ngulang tahun depan, kalo kemungkinan terburuk, gak lulus SBMPTN, catatan saya: JANGAN PERNAH BUKA TIMELINE TWITTER! Demi moore, demi lovato, don't ever do that shit! You know what, temen-temen saya satu kelas hampir 3/4 diterima di PTN.
Good night everybody.

I present you my new baby! Yeah, it's TBS Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Lotion!
First, let me make myself clear. I love all The Body Shop products, and I'd say I'm kinda addicted more to their body lotions. Why? Because all their body lotions soften my skin and at the same time my skin gets firmer. So, I decided not to use any body lotion from other brands.
I have tried numbers of body lotion from TBS, but I constantly fall in love with the Japanese Cherry Blossom. I even once considered not to try other body lotion products beside this one. LOL. (if I couldn't find any better lotions than this, I mean)
Just like its title, this body lotion gives cherry blossom smell fragrance. It's not stingy, not as stingy as other lotions I have ever tried. However, I love how this lotion stays long on my skin. I use it in the morning and I go outside, in the night I still feel it absorbs smoothly on my skin.
What about the packaging? As you can see in the picture above, it comes up in a cillindrical transparent bottle with classic pump. Clearly it's hygienic, everyone. Oh, you also don't have to worry if you tend to waste much lotion, with 3-4 pumps you can grease it to all your body, in this case; hands and foots.
Do I recommend this product? Totally a big yes!
(+) Pros
- The smell is strong, but not stingy compared to other TBS lotions
- Moisturizes my skin, feel so smooth and firm
- Hygienic
- The design is adorable
- If you use it properly, you can save it for about 3 months, I guess.
- Not animal tested (FYI: not just this lotion, but all TBS products)
(-) Cons
- It's a bit pricey (I bought it IDR 149000/USD 15), especially for student like meh :s
Dua hari yang lalu pengumuman SNMPTN Undangan. Semua siswa/i kelas 12 seluruh Indonesia yang daftar undangan pasti pada deg-degan banget. Termasuk saya. Lagi latihan gladi resik buat farewell hari Selasa.
Saya gak berani ambil risiko sakit hati pas gladi resik. Asli deh.
Nyampe rumah jam 7, saya mandi dan makan dulu. Biar gak stress lihat hasilnya. Wkwkwk. Lantas, saya ngebuka website SNMPTN dan memasukkan nomor pendaftaran plus tanggal lahir.
Dan beginilah hasilnya!
I'm not a music expert, but I'm a music addict.
1. Ne Yo - Let Me Love You
Mak, lagunya sih ngebeat ya. A la Black Eyed Peas yang musiknya gitu-gitu doang, liriknya gitu-gitu doang juga (tapi asyik sih haha). Tapi liriknya itu loh! Ga nyangka, dalem juga ya.
2. Ke$ha - Die Young
Sebenarnya sih, liriknya sampis alias sampah abis. Yaa tapi kalo menurut saya sih, inti lagu yang pengen disampein si Kesha ini sih lebih ke arah "Jangan sia-siain hidup lo" alias "YOLO" (You Only Live Once). Beuh beda banget sama jaman dulu ya. Kalo taun 90an mah adanya lagu Oasis "We're gonna live forever~~"
3. Jason Mraz - 93 Million Miles
But... coba denger dan perhatiin liriknya.
He told me, "Son sometimes it may seem dark, but the absence of the light is a necessary part. Just know, you’re never alone, you can always come back home."
4. Adele - I Can't Make You Love Me
Maknyos bener itu judulnya. Apalagi buat tuna asmara kayak saya. Hihihi. Eh tapi beneran lagu ini ngena banget loh! Aslinya sih dinyanyiin sama Bonnie Rait, tapi kecean dibawain Adele sih, lebih trenyuh gitu hati saya. Hiks hiks.
